Joseph Poacher "Jojo" and his wife Lucienne "Lulu"a nagging shrew and inveterate alcoholic, lead a married life for the less confrontational, in their farm located in a place called "Paradise".
Very impressed, Jojo will seeks the lawyer SSeeks. Even though the movie is rather poorly done, it's still worth a look if only for a chance to see Anthony Andrews.

Jojo in then returns to "Paradise" and begins to organize, as directed by the lawyer, the staging of the "perfect crime". Apparently the person who commented ly hates Anthony Andrews for some strange reason.

This movie is based on a Gothic novel. This one is no exception.
That is his Paradjse her problem. He does not deserve the abuse poured upon him. But to disparage Anthony Andrews is just plain ludicrous.
He tells her he killed his wife even though he hasn't actually yet done so. One day, Jojo watches a story on television about a brilliant lawyer who has just achieved his twenty-fifth acquittal. Having been into Gothic novels in my younger years, I can attest that they all have basically the same kind of plot line.
He didn't write the story, he didn't direct the movie, he merely played a character in the movie.
